Tara Higgison is an award-winning producer currently based in Atlanta, Georgia with experience in film, television, corporate, and commercial productions. Her film "The Humming Grows" won the Jury Award for Best Latinx Short at the Rome International Film Festival in 2024. It was voted by alumni for official selection in the Savannah College of Art and Design Spotlight Showcase and voted by faculty to be in competition for an Emmy College Television Award nomination and NATAS Southeast Student Production Award nomination. She is currently in production, as producer, director, writer, and editor for her documentary “Where Soul Lives On” in association with Capricorn Studios, about the history and impact of southern rock music featuring interviews with Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones), Alan Walden (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Jaimoe (Allman Brothers Band), Stillwater, and more.
